My Inspiration

My work in high-fire stoneware and porcelain is a bridge—a tactile connection between the hands that shape the clay and the hands that hold the finished piece. Rooted in the rich colors, textures, and enduring spirit of the Sonoran Desert, each form is shaped by memories of hiking and backpacking through rugged landscapes.

Through abstract underglaze designs and the unpredictable alchemy of specialty glazes, I channel the quiet energy of nature into functional art. A piece of pottery is only truly complete when it finds its home—settling into a space where it enhances the room and becomes a part of the daily landscape. These pieces are made for the home and the hand, serving as an invitation to slow down, connect, and find beauty in the everyday ritual."
